WE ARE TO EAT IN BOLOGNA
Bologna, as we already mention, well known as “La Grassa” that means The Fat, for its numerous specialty food.
Considered also to be the breadbasket of Italy, Bologna’s geography makes it famous for its cuisine. It is the birthplace of mortadella, tortellini, lasagna but also the capital of the region Emilia-Romagna that produces balsamic vinegar, parmesan cheese, prosciutto and many others. For a Doc Bolognese eating well is a top priority and you will find it out since day one. Below you will find a variety of traditional restaurants, Salumerie, Pizzerie, economical places and ice-cream shops.

The bars are open all day long until late night. You can find a variety of bars that at the same time are selling traditional Bolognese food. The ideal moment to visit it is the aperitivo time and you can try Pignoletto and Sangiovese, Bologna’s typical wines, with the famous tagliere (sliced cold cuts). Italian cold cuts are best eaten when they are sliced at the moment. You can tell how fresh a slice of prosciutto or mortadella is by its rosy color and intense smell.
